Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing
The Associate of Applied Science Nursing curriculum at Sanford-Brown College, St. Peters was created with Licensed Practical Nurses in mind. They are provided with extra learning and training opportunities that capitalize on students' previous education and skills, which will help those who graduate to plan, implement, and supervise patient care as RNS in many different health care settings. Upon acceptance, the LPN program will teach you how to effectively function as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in a complex health care delivery system. Students who have shown success in the classroom and clinical rotations by thoroughly preparing and understanding the best nursing practice will have the opportunity to apply for state licensure and sit for the state examination, then obtain entry level employment as registered nurses.

Sanford-Brown College provides an Associate Degree in Nursing program. Sanford-Brown College, St. Peters has been given temporary acceptance by Missouri Board of Nursing, and isn't allowed to take anymore students until the Board can guarantee that it meets specific standards. In order to apply for a state license and take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), applicants must graduate from a degree program in nursing that has the approval of the Missouri Board of Nursing.
Practical Nursing Program
Students in the program of Practical Nursing located at Sanford-Brown College, St. Peters (SBC), are prepared for careers in practical nursing in many different clinical settings, such as hospitals, skilled-care settings, and medical offices. The classes are developed to help students apply what they learn from general education and nursing to their practice; to implement care plans that address individual client needs; to problem-solve and think critically when providing nursing care under the supervision of a doctor or a nurse; and to work within the accepted ethical, legal, and moral guidelines to enable effective, compassionate and safe care.
The Missouri Board of Nursing approves the program in Practical Nursing. Before being allowed to apply for licensing from the state and being permitted to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), one must complete a practical nursing program at an institution approved by the Missouri Board of Nursing.
