This course is intended to give students the academic, expert and clinical ability required for entry level registered nurse staff positions. Graduated are trained to provide nursing care to people, families, and communities in many different health care fields. Students develop necessary skills and foundation for providing excellent care to clients in all stages of life, both independently as well as within a team.
Lifelong learning is stressed in the program. Harrison College provides a full-time Associate Degree in Nursing Program has mandatory clinical training, a portion of which is at night.
Harrison College has graduated thousands of employable students who enrolled with many of the concerns and questions you may be experiencing at this moment. Once one graduates from the Nursing program, one has the background to move up in one's nursing career, and is eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Associate Degree in Nursing Program
The following steps must be completed in order for students to be accepted into the competitive Associate Degree in Nursing Program.
- Make an appointment with an Admission Representative, who will enable you to figure out all the necessary steps and furnish you with the needed information.
- Fill out the admission paperwork and include a nonrefundable $50.00 payment.
- Validation of high school diploma or GED completion.
- Participation in a Group Interview with the Director of Nursing Education or attendance at an Informational Seminar.
- Successful completion of the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) and then an interview with the Director of Nursing Education.
- Provide a background check form and the nonrefundable forty dollar fee.
- Send in transcripts for high school as well as either the SAT or ACT scores if you desire them to be included (get in touch with the Admissions Staff for required classes).
- Two letters of recommendation must be submitted.
- Turn in an essay explaining why you wish to be a nurse.
